Temeka Easter Rice is the founder of The Joy Group,  a company all about connecting with people and utilizing these relationships to spark joy in finance, personal branding, and leadership. Known as the "Creator of Joyful Moments," Temeka's middle name, "LaJoy," is perfectly aligned to the work she does throughout her community.

 

An award-winning marketing expert in finance, she shares her knowledge and offers various services, including financial literacy & coaching, personal branding, leadership development, digital marketing, and public speaking. Temeka is a modern-day renaissance woman, putting a twist on the "jack of all trades" title with services that combine her over 20 years of professional experience. 

 

She proudly holds two Bachelors of Science degrees in both Business Administration and accounting, along with a Masters of Science in Human Resource Management. In 2020, she completed a graduate certificate in Digital Marketing Strategies from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.  In 2018 and 2019, she was awarded the Governor's Financial Literacy Award and won the Platinum Hermes Creative Award in 2017 and 2018 consecutively. 

Temeka is an esteemed philanthropist, maintaining board positions as the Finance Chair of Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay, Scholarship Chair of Emerging Pearls Foundation, Secretary of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Delaware, and Founder and President of WIN Investment Club.

 

Together Temeka and her husband George, have a blended family with four adult children, two teens, and three dogs at home.  The family resides in Wilmington, DE.
